Sunday, April 9th, 2006 03:04 pmRemember that $300 the aunt and uncle gave me for christmas for a digital camera? Well yesterday I spent it....on a digital camera! :D I am now the proud owner of a Nikon Coolpix P2
Bweeee, ain't it purdy? :D It took me absolutely ages to decide on which camera to get since the 4200 I originally wanted was obviously no longer in production. And then it came down to the P2 or the 5900, both which cost MORE than the 4200 when I decided I wanted it. :( Cue saving like mad and waiting for a price drop on either.
Enter Thursday after work. While leaving the centre mein eyes happen to catch that a camera store I previously thought didn't carry Nikons actually had some in stock, and there was specials going! :D The bad news, I still didn't have anywhere near the amount needed to get everything. >_> So on Saturday I drag Mum out to every store in town I can think of that carries digital cameras to get the best deal, and finally end up with a one that wasn' too far above what I had saved. $530 all up for the camera, a 512MB SD card, bag and spare battery. Considering the camera has a RRP of $449 at the moment that's only $80 for about $150 worth of extras. :D
Now all I need is a new computer to go with it so I can upload stuff. >_>
