So near, and yet so far...
Tuesday, November 21st, 2006 10:02 pmWii launch is shaping up rather nicely so far! Managed to secure the Thursday and Friday off, so that's 4 days of new console-y goodness :D And I know of 2 other people in the same proximity as me getting Wiis on launch, so that's some Wii Sports sessions right there. :D :D Then mum gets a voucher in the mail this morning for $100 at Target, which is where I just so happen to have my prii-order. :D :D :D Add into that staff discount, and a $50 gift card that I found out I won at work today, and I'll only have to shell out $320 for my Wii and Zelda, rather than the $500rrp. :D :D :D :D T'will be a good launch indeed! :D
Last night mum decided to get some take out for dindins, so while she was ordering I ducked into (pretty much) the only arcade in town, with the very tiny hope of them having a DDR machine finally. As I approach, what do I spy through the window but a fairly familiar bar attatched to a machine! "JOY OF JOYS!" I think as I skip through the door, only to find it's NOT actually Dance Dance Revolution, but one of it's finer knock-offs (or so Kas tells me), Pump It Up. So I ask the gentleman at the counter "Do you know of anywhere in town that has Dance Dance Revolution?"
*points to Pump It Up*
"...That's not DDR. >_>" Apparently it's the only dance machine in town, so that's as close as I'm gonna get for now. :( The diagonal arrows scare and confuse me though. >_> I wants my Up/Down/Left/Rights!
