4 movies and 1 games thing
Sunday, November 8th, 2009 06:28 pm- FFFfffffffffffffffft, we're finally getting a 3D cinema in town. SHIT YEAH! So going to see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and the Toy Story double feature in 3D when they come out. :3
- Finally found out the local release date for 9 too, 9th of December! Way to miss the point of the US release date there Australia. Still, at least we're getting it, woo!
- I have not bought Revenge of the Fallen on DVD yet. >_> There is no steelbook case this time, and while the Bumblebee one is veeeeeeeeeeery tempting it's $50. Where as the regular 2-disc edition is a mere $24 at work. But I do have a soft spot for the little yellow bugger. But it's $50. :/ I think I'ma gonna see if we get it in at work so I can get some discount on it, if not I'll grab the standard edition.
- WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT POINT. DVD prices lately. When the ZOMG GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS hit new release DVD prices went from around $30 for special editions to $35 for single discs and $40 for double disc versions. Being as I'm a special features whore single disc editions annoy me normally, but the fact that a lot of companies jumped back on the different versions bandwagon during that period (especially for the "comic book" movies it seemed) it was a dissapointing time to buy DVDs. Now though, it seems Paramount is leading the charge to reduce prices now that Australia's economy is back on the upswing. Last week Star Trek released with just a 2-disc version for $24 full price, Monsters vs Aliens reduced it's regular price from $30 to $24 as well, and now Transformers has released with no single disc edition and the 2-disc at $24 rrp. This makes me happy, and I hope other companies follow suit.
- While I've been wanting to play Kingdom Hearts 358/2, Bowser's Inside Story is just more fun to play. Good Game was right, there's only so many times you can watch a cut scene about people eating ice cream. :/
