Anime Club, dead batteries, and weird arse dreams
Thursday, August 17th, 2006 11:37 amAnime club's getting more and more awesome each week. :D Last night was only the second for the semester, and we had all kinds of technical difficulties, but I had a blast. Wore part of the Pimpin' outfit and got the exact same look from everyone when I told them I made it. Something along the lines of O_O, complete with a "JUH?!" sound effect. 'Twas quite amusing. XD Think I'll wear my Bumblebee horns next week. :3
Karma was having some battery problems yesterday, as in the thing was deader than Sega as a console manufacturer. Had to do a rolling start down the driveway to get her going, and luckily where the club meets at the uni now has parking on a handy slope, so I could do another rolling start to get home. Well, that was the plan at least. Upon trying to start 'er up for the drive home I somehow managed to wedge the wheels hard up against the gutter, and killed any chance I had of the jump start. Fortunately everyone was still there after club, so after we'd freed Karma from the gutter of doom I had an army to push the car and have another go at jump starting it. And I do mean an army. There were people that couldn't push as there was no room for them. XD We got Karma started again, to much joy and huzzahs and yelling of the Final Fantasy victory theme, and me getting out of the car and yelling "I LOVE YOU ALL MY BITCHES!" Mouse then follows me out in her car, cause we're going the same way, and we end up next to each other at the traffic lights. Cue more FF victory theme yelling, and Mouse revs her engine. "Not on your life" I yell back at her, then proceed to smoke her anyway because Karma has awesome accelleration. XD
We're having a Kingdom Hearts marathon at Mouse's house sometime this weekend too hopefully. :3
I also had one of the weirdest dreams I can remember last night, normally I can only remember bits and pieces of dreams, then forget them pretty much instantly upon waking. I think I can remember nearly all of this one, which is sweet. :D
So it begins on the top of a mountain, on some...weird...floaty...platform...boat...thing (I have a feeling it was Sonic Adventure-ish in design), and I jump off and head down the mountain. In a sort of GTA style. Y'know, wailing on various people as I got down and stealing their cars..and backpacks. >_> I finally reach the finish, which is actually back at the top of the mountain again, on some land that's above the floaty boat thing. Except it turns out I'm not actually at the finish, the finish is the other bit of the mountain on the other side of the boat thing. How do I know this? Because the cast of Home Improvement is on the finish side telling me so. We then head further up the mountain, towards a couch that just happens to be there, and are then rescued by a helicopter. SCENE CHANGE!
We're then driving (how we're driving in a helicopter, I dunno. Don't ask me :P ) through a field that's full of Mini-cons. Of course I'm having the time of my life, picking out who's who, when I spot Ultra Magnus and instantly realise that there's about to be a big arse battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. I say so, and suddenly we're back flying again and about to be bombarded by Decepticons. So, of course, the helicopter has a sunroof that gets opened, missiles bounce in, which I then grab and throw out the side window. Back to driving again (the helicopter must've been a Transformer too) and we pull into a service station to take shelter from the Cons. The servo then has a motel attatched to it, and we head off into them to hide.
Scattered around the room was tons of those Wishing Stones (y'know, the flattened marbles that were all the rage a few years ago) that weren't actually Wishing Stones, but something that had a very appropriate name that I can't remember now, and were, infact, alive. They started off looking like shiney stones, then when you touched them they grew eyes. O_O We'd collected them all into the middle of the room, and were amazed when the stones grew these awesome little eyes. Except, in perfect dream logic, the instant I saw the eyes I knew it was a Very Bad Thing™. I then woke up, and was sad, because it was such an awesome dream and I was having a ball.
