ROMGDRAMA!
Friday, August 18th, 2006 07:48 pmLast time we had Drama at work was when the power went out and we had to chase the customers out of the store. Today we had a Centre Wide Evacuation! :D Full on one too, voice blaring over the speaker system "Your attention please, your attention please, there is an emergency in the centre. Please evacuate through the nearest safe exit point." Customers going "WTF? I want to shop!" and us going "It's real? o_O", then shooing them out the emergency exits while alarms are blaring all over the place. We get to the evacuation point for Target, and have a perfect view of one of the entrances, where people are just POURING out.
We then all stood around for a while looking like idjits, they took roll call to make sure no-one was burning inside, then they let us back in. By this time it was 5 o'clock, so needless to say it was pretty dead until close. XD Turns out it was a faulty alarm panel near the Brumby's store or something along those lines. Huzzah for false alarms getting us out of work for a few minutes! :D
Compzilla's in the shop too, the card reader stopped registering for some reason. So that means Wonky's hooked back up to the interwebnets. I was planning on taking 'Zilla in myself this morning, but work called and asked me in all day, so Mum took it in, and they bullsheeted about "Oh, it could take until Wednesday if we have to order in parts." I bet it's just the connection has come loose somehow, and if I knew how to do it I probably could've fixed it myself. But hey, we got the 3 year warranty, may as well make use of it!
And speaking of getting called into work this morning, I get woken up at 7:30 and you know what the first thing I hear is? "Ohh, you sound sleepy." REALLY? I sound sleepy when I've just been woken up? I never would've thought. :P
